Uses Android SDK version 18
Uses NDK so add ndk.dir=path\\to\\ndk in local.properites
Get NDK here: http://developer.android.com/ndk/downloads/index.html#download

If using Android Studio (Gradle build) you should check to see that the project encoding is UTF-8 to match gradle (importing an Eclipse project might set it to Windows-1252.
This is in gradle settings->Editor->File encodings
